Helpful Tools When Packing and Shipping Artwork

Whether you're shipping small or large items, Pack and Ship Hawaii's Crating and Packing team ensures that your precious cargo will be packaged properly and ready for delivery. We offer a variety of packing services from machine packing, loading PODS containers, shrink wrap palletizing and more.

To help you prepare your artworks, here are some tools to keep handy.

Picture Boxes - Usual box sizes come in either 28" x 4" x 24", 37" x 4 3/8" x 30" or

36" x 6" x 42".

Bubble Wrap - These provide cushion for your art. It also helps fill up spaces in the box to prevent your artwork from shifting. Avoid using styrofoam peanuts when shipping paintings.

Packing Tape - Make sure to have good quality packing tape on hand. When shipping valuable art, you want to make sure that the box is kept sealed in transit. Cheaper tape is harder to cut and does not stick well.

Plastic Wrap - your trusty kitchen plastic wrap can also be a good way to protect your paintings in transit. IT helps cover the frames and artwork from possible scratches while in transit. For large artworks, make sure you wrap the plastic around multiple time to cover the painting.
